We’re helping to organise a cabaret night all about the arty side of science communication in October. Who wants to take part?
One KX is a creative hub where arts, science and technology meet. It’s near Kings Cross station, at 120 Cromer Street London, Greater London WC1H 8BS .
As part of the Bloomsbury Festival they are hosting a Sci/Arts Crossover Cabaret on the evening of Saturday 20 October, with our very own Steve Cross hosting. We’re looking for some punchy 5-10 minute acts that blend any type of interesting cabaret and performance with science and technology. It could be music, drama, dance, comedy or anything else.
You can read more about the Festival here: http://www.bloomsburyfestival.org.uk/
One KX might be able to find a small amount of expenses, where required, but the Festival is free to attend so this is an unpaid opportunity.
If you are interested and available, or know of anyone who might be appropriate, please let us know by emailing info@scienceshowoff.org
One KX is part of YMCA Central, a registered charity.
At the gig the Science Showoff crew will be collecting money for The Lightyear Foundation, who take exciting science to schoolchildren in Africa. You can read about them here: http://www.lightyearfoundation.org
