In news that can only be described as “pant-wettingly exciting” we’ve got together with the European Planetary Science Congress to put on a special Space Showoff at the Bloomsbury Theatre on Thursday September 12th. It’ll be an anarchic space-themed cabaret night celebrating planetary and space science with jokes, talks, music, poetry, demos and all that joyful stuff.
Join top space experts, comedians and performers from UCL and beyond for a night that’ll be funny, educational and stuffed to the brim with planets, moons, stars and other space-y goodness.
Confirmed acts include space comedian Helen Keen, satellite builder Maggie Aderin-Pocock, and planetary geologist Peter Grindrod, all MCed by Science Showoff’s very own Steve Cross, who has some new space jokes ready to go!
This gig is supported in part by a grant from the Science and Technology Facilities Council.
All ticket money will be donated to the Lightyear Foundation, who take science to schoolchildren across the world who might otherwise not get a chance to take part.
This gig will be suitable for over-16s only. Tickets are £10 or £7 for concessions from this link:
A full lineup will appear shortly!
